Detroit and Canadian fashion communities unite, producing the first collaborative international fashion event, The Social Runway. An upscale fashion affair, this experience is designed to highlight top Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs in Metro Detroit and Canada. In partnership with a host of fashion influencers, bloggers and gurus, this event will be live-streamed and shared on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Periscope, providing international viewership and creating worldwide engagement, in addition to hundreds in attendance.
The Social Runway is Friday, May 12th, 2017 at the exquisite Madison Building Rooftop Terrace & Loft located at 1555 Broadway St. in Detroit, Michigan at 7 p.m. Enjoy the VIP Social Hour with hors d’oeuvres, live music, vendors and a cash bar. The evening highlight is a rooftop fashion show, overlooking the spectacular downtown Detroit skyline, adding to the ambiance.
Not just a traditional fashion event, The Social Runway is infused with style and entertainment for any fashion lover. With an array of apparel on display, coupled with a dose of mingling and networking, attendees will become familiar with trends, engage in photo ops, and connect with vendors and business owners at this exclusive social experience. Embracing a dazzling view, patrons will unite with elite industry professionals. This includes Cynthia LaMaide, a local designer known for her one-of-a-kind knitted garments and for dressing celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, with collections that have been seen across the world.
In addition, Local spin master DJ Equad will provide music, along with a live performance by The Brandon Williams Experiment.
Tickets are $40 and available at www.thesocialrunway.com. A portion of all ticket proceeds will benefit The Butler Foundation and The Urban Arts Collective, as part of a philanthropic effort.
